Jyotsna Neeharika- our teacher at Rolupadi school in Andhra Pradesh.
Has a beautiful experience with eVidyaloka.
She says so, “ Hi everyone,
I am very excited to share my story because volunteering with eVidyaloka not only helped me discover what makes me truly happy and fills me with contentment but also helped me learn along with kids. I got to learn things I might have skipped learning and I am not all ashamed to say I learnt how seasons change or why things float or sink. Teaching helped me fill all those gaps in my knowledge When I was a student I would frequently hear from my parents, that teaching is a noble profession. I was also a part of all those pranks played on teachers while in school. But today I sense the effort that goes in delivering a lesson. Kudos to all teachers.
How it began?
On a very dull day when I was googling to find job opportunities, I stumbled upon this link. I would have just ignored it but a second thought introduced me to a great idea called eVidyaloka. I quickly glanced through and in no time registered myself. After a skype conversation with Gayatri ji and few mails, I was all set to take my first ever class. I was very apprehensive in the beginning but found great joy in making paper presentations and searching videos. It would fill me with contentment when kids recognised the pictures and wondered seeing the videos. I would wonder, what if we too had such opportunity of watching videos while in school or college.
My family was very supportive in this journey of mine. They wouldn’t disturb me during the class hours and my sister would get me print out of lesson from office. They would even suggest me on how to improve.
I wish eVidyaloka goes on forever like this. I wish many more people join this great endeavor. I profoundly thank evidyaloka for finding me.”
